Grand Canyon National Park is one of the gems of the National Park System. It is also the most visited, receiving over four million visitors a year, and as I found, four million people can't be wrong. The canyon takes on a unique look from every viewpoint and shadows late in the day add a inspiring element to the vast canyon. Formed over a million years by the Colorado River, the sheer size of it cause one to loose their breath. Hiking possibilities abound in the park, with Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the canyon being a highlight for some. I visited the South Rim and drove around it's viewpoints, and then took a scenic helicopter flight over the East and North Rims.
